Should the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals be considered within research initiatives? Can Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) bring more sustainability to innovation processes?
These are some of the answers that we intend to obtain, together with more than 12 European entities within the scope of SHOUT project. Social Sciences And Humanities In Intersectoral Outreach For Better Education And Sustainable Innovations – SHOUT – aims to strengthen the innovation capacity and transformational role of HEIs, SMEs and NGOs when dealing with complex problems presented in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and developing innovative sustainable solutions through inter-sectoral cooperation model and enhanced sharing of knowledge between different stakeholders, SSH graduates and researchers employability.
Considering that the focus of the project is the integration of students, researchers and graduates in Social Sciences and Humanities in innovation projects related to the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in this initial phase of the project we intend to know what is the perspective of different key actors on issues related to educational skills and methodologies that may be important for the development of sustainable innovation projects. The main objective is to understand what are the skills most valued by students, teachers, SMEs and NGOs in relation to the SDGs and sustainable innovation.
